@boogdennard thats not the case as ABS wasnt standard in any of these cars as soon as the engine cuts out everything mechanical goes aswell

This must be the umpteenth time someone points this out, but can it be that difficult for the BBC to downmix the sound to simple stereo for the compressed videos the put up on YouTube? The sound is rubbish on most of the Top Gear videos, right in the segments where you want to hear what they’re saying.

They buy cars that need restoring. Thats why they’re so cheap. JC’s merak cost £7000 but a good condition merak will cost around £50,000. It costs a lot of money to restore old supercars. Same goes for all the over cheap car challenges.
