You could’ve bought 911, but, you also could’ve bought a more expensive benz, like SL AMG. But, boxster is ACTUALLY different from 911 in that it’s mid engined. Both SL and SLK are both front engined, so all you’re getting for the price difference is bigger engine and looks. So, 911 is difficult to drive and boxster is easy to drive with more balance. 911 will tend to oversteer, while boxster won’t. They’re different cars.

That’s right, on both points. There’s so many automatics in the US it’s hard to find a manual. I’ve been looking for a manual Benz with almost no luck.
Manual is sooooo much more fun, especially 6 sp.

@TPNEWYORKER – it sure is. In europe most of the cars have manual. it’s not that difficult and worth the effort of learning

Funny how in the UK the SLK is considered a chick car… Here, in Canada, the Boxster is the quintessential chick car.

Man The Boxster’s are sooooooo cheap {Compared to other super cars I’m not rich or anything} I just want to know if there a good car to buy performance wise so I can take it to the track. First I have to learn how to drive manual because everyone I talk to says THAT IS WAY BETTER THAN AUTOMATIC !
